Investigation of the Fluoride Content in Drinking Water - Kangjin , Koheung , Wando Province , & Kwangju City in Chollanamdo -

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study was to measure the fluoride content in such drinking water as well water: scattered in Daegu-Myun, Kangjin, Keumsan-Myun, Koheung, Sorokdo, Koheung and Kokeum-Myun, Wando Rrovince; as hydrant water of Kwangju City in Chollanamdo.
The fluoride content was analysed using the Orion Research Specific Ionalyzer (Model 407 A/L) and fluoride electrode(No 9409)by Mc Cann´s method.
Obtained result as follow
1. The average fluoride content was in Daegu-Nlyun, Kangjin, 0.0966 ppm, in Keumsan -Myun, Koheung, 0.0522 ppm, in Sorokdo, Koheung, 0.0942 pr,,-,n and in Kokeum-Myun, Wando, Province 0.0757 ppm. ,
2. The fluoride content in hydrant water of Kwangju City was in infiltration plant, 0.110 ppm, in downtown, 0.084 ppm, and in rural area, 0.063 ppm.
3. The analyzed fluoride contents have not significance to prevent the occurence of dental caries.
